Crash Anniversary: December 17, 2012
On December 17, 2012 my son Dean was the back seat passenger when his friend who had been drinking, lost control of his car and crashed into a pole. Dean’s injuries ended his life the next day. At 22 years old. He was on the list to become a New York firefighter. He wanted to be a husband and a dad. His life cut short, unlived. A branch of our family tree ripped off. No new memories to be made. Our family continues to keep his memory alive largely through bringing awareness to drinking and driving, so that no other family will go through what we are going through.
