Why We Walk

Dad

DANIELLE N. TREVITHICK

Crash Anniversary: August 10, 2010

Danielle was just beginning her adult life, at 22. She worked full time as a hair stylist and was going to college full time. She was two weeks away from going into the dental hygienist program with her sister Savannah.

Her life was stripped away in an instant when a remorseless drunk driver took her life. He didn’t have a driver’s license, and his blood alcohol content was well over the legal limit. He was driving 89 mph in a 40 mph zone when he hit Danielle head on.

Her beautiful life was taken, as were her hopes and dreams.  Danielle was a beautiful soul inside and out. If you were fortunate enough to have known her, you would know that she could light up the room when she walked in and had a very contagious laugh that we will forever miss. Our lives were forever changed that day. To live each day without her is the hardest thing we will ever do.

Along with MADD, we hope to raise awareness of this 100% preventable crime, so no other family has to go through this heartbreak. Danielle DID make a difference, for the better, to everyone who met her in the short time she had here. We owe her this and much much more.
