KEGAN JOHNS

Home State: Illinois

Crash Anniversary: August 18, 2004

Kegan had just graduated from Johnston City High School. He was a 4 sport athlete.  He had decided to join the Marines after graduation.  He had many hopes and dreams for his future as we all do, but none of us are promised a tomorrow.  One night of good times and bad choices by two 18 year old boys went horribly wrong.    A single vehicle crash, Kegan was killed instantly from head injuries as a passenger, when he couldn’t get his friend to slow down and stop the car traveling at a speed of over 100mph, an empty bottle of vodka found in the car, A Williamson County Deputy Sheriff at our door at 2am and our Son would never come home to us again.   His kind heart and warm smile is missed by so many.  Such a senseless 100% preventable loss.

“If I can stop one family from going through what we go through every minute of every hour of every day, I will continue to fight against underage drinking and drinking and driving.”
