WALK LIKE MADD ENGAGEMENT AND INCENTIVES

 

Top Victim/Survivor Fundraiser Statewide: The top fundraiser in the state will be asked to share their story in a 2-3 minute pre-recorded video to be shared during the October 10th Walk Like MADD ceremony.  This will be based on funds raised by Friday, 10/2/20 12:00 pm.

Public Safety Challenge: Top public safety agencies will be awarded for their support during the event.  These agencies, broken into to two groups (police/fire departments and county agencies) will compete to see who can raise the most money. The ‘Most Supportive in the State’ agency will be showcased during the event, receive a trophy, and record a video for the event program. The Public Safety contest will be based on funds raised by 10/2/20.

Top Three (3) Teams: The top 3 fundraising teams for each walk region will get to choose a team song to be added to the State’s Walk Like MADD Spotify Playlist. Top Team fundraising will end on 10/2/20 6:00 pm for each walk site. The updated state Spotify playlist link will be available 10/3/20 on each walk site and social media sites.

Bingo: Compete in our Walk Like MADD BINGO for the chance to win some amazing prizes! Find five (5) items in a row—vertically, horizontally, or diagonally and take your photo with each one. The WLM Bingo card can be found in the ‘Downloads’ tab on the Walk site. To submit for the bingo drawings; create a social media post with your five (5) photos on Instagram or Facebook and be sure to tag us @MADDCalifornia. Bingo drawing submissions must be posted and tagged by 11:00 am on 10/10/20. A total of 3 prize winners will be announced during the WLM Ceremony on 10/10/20 at approximately 12:30 pm.

Team Captain Challenge: Follow the map to win a team prize (Maps found in the ‘Download’ tab on the Walk site)! Public Safety Team Captains will compete for a chance to win their team a personal doughnut party. Regular Team Captains will compete to win their team a pizza party. Team captains will strive to meet the various 27 fundraising goals outlined on the fundraising map.

  • Complete 7/27 goals = 1 raffle entry
  • Complete 17/27 goals = 5 raffle entries
  • Complete 27/27 goals = 10 raffle entries

To submit your raffle entries, completed map goals must be submitted to Emily.peirano@madd.org by October 5, 2020, at noon. Winners will be announced on 10/6/20 during the virtual Team Night Event. Each team prize party will be scheduled for your team to enjoy while you watch the main Walk Like MADD event on October 10, 2020.

Silent Auction: Visit each region’s 32auctions.com site to bid on amazing local prizes! Each walk region will be utilizing this online silent auction platform to showcase various gifts you can bid on, including gift cards, baskets, hotel stays, and more. Winning bidders will be contacted by your regional representative to collect your bid and deliver your prize. All auctions items will be available to bid on until 10/12/20 at 12:00 p.m.

Race: Want to compete to be your region’s fastest runner? Use the free Nike Run Club App to complete your 5k race and submit a race time details screenshot via email to your MADD representative. Your MADD representative’s email will be located on your walk event page. Please submit your race submissions by 10 am on 10/10/20. The fastest runners for each area will be announced during the 10/10/20 event ceremony.
