Before the Walk:
Encourage your team to pre-register. Previous years we've had more than 100 people register day of, which means long lines! Online registration is available at www.walklikemadd.org/Philadelphia. until 5 p.m. on Friday, September 27th. Our check-in lists will be printed at that time. If anyone will have to wait to register until walk day. Online donations will still be accepted. Walk Day Details:
Here are some friendly reminders & updates about the walk:
- We will enter The Mann at the North Gate. There is not an exact address but if you put “Law, Prosperity, and Power” in google maps it will direct you to this statue which is located right inside The Mann Center. Or you can put in N Georges Hill Drive, Philadelphia, PA 19131 in your GPS. Look for the MADD signs. Free VIP Parking is located across the street from the entrance in the grass.
Tributes:
- Please stop by the Victim Tribute Area after you check in to registration to meet with our victim advocates & pay tribute to your loved ones, as well as to pick up a special keepsake we are providing this year. Victim Services staff will be there to support you.
- Why We Walk photo boards will be available for pick up. Please bring a picture up to 5” X 7” of your loved one to place on the board or you can write in their name. This board is to walk with and for you to keep.
- You will also be given a chance to tell us why and who you are walking for if you so choose.
- PA DUI Association’s Moving Memorial will be on display on our walk and we encourage you to visit.
Event Activities:
- Free tickets will be given out for the Carnival games for a chance to win children’s prizes or free Wawa coupons. Try your luck.
- It is rain or shine. Please dress comfortably for the weather.
- Animals: (service animals are welcome, but no pets)
Timeline:
- 9:00 a.m.: Pre-Registration & Registration at the North Gate with refreshments, music and carnival games at the Crescendo
- 10:00 a.m.: Opening Ceremony
- 10:30: a.m.: Walk Begins
- 11:00 a.m.: Rose ceremony and closing remarks
Registration:
- If you're not registered, you will check in at one of our Day of Registration lines. You must completely fill out a registration form/envelope & sign the waiver.
Donations:
If you're unable to attend but have donations to mail, please send check made payable to Mothers Against Drunk Driving to: MADD PA State Office (3200 Ridge
- Pike Ste. 300, PO Box 595 Norristown, PA 1910). If your contacts are mailing us donations directly, please have them include your name/team name for credit.
Incentives:
- Prize Drawing: Every donation (including registration fees) from now until walk day enters you into a prize drawing.

- Have an opportunity to win at our Prize Auction at the event. We encourage you to bring cash, though credit cards can be accepted.
