The 2023 Walk Like MADD Richmond event is MADD's signature fundraising event to help us raise both awareness and funds to eliminate drunk and drugged driving. Hello Walkers!

Thank you so much for coming out for Walk Like MADD! You have already helped us raise over $35,000!!

DON’T FORGET your picture of your loved one if you want to make a poster for our Memorial Mile! If you need us to print a picture for you, email it by Thursday at 5pm to [email protected] OR [email protected].

A few notes:

The Park is located at 2999 Darbytown Rd., 23231

Once you turn into the park, you will be on Dorey Park Drive. Follow that road all the way to the end. We will be set up in the 2 picnic shelters by the lake.

Arrival time:

If you plan to make a poster in memory of your loved one, we suggest you arrive at 8 to get registered/ T-shirts, then head over to make your poster.
If you do not plan to make a poster, plan to arrive by 8:30am to leave enough time to park and get registered. The brief opening ceremony and awards are at 9 and walking will start @ 9:10.

Parking: It is a public park adjacent to the Capital Trail so it is very possible that the lots by the event will be full. Below there is a map showing picnic shelters 1&2 where we will be, with adjacent parking. Also circled is paved overflow parking. There is a grassy area adjacent to overflow parking where we can also park.

Awards: The Top Fundraiser and the Top Fundraising Team will receive plaques. The winners will be determined by 8:45 am the morning of the walk.
