Metered Parking:

Payment is required from 8 AM to 6 PM. Outdoor lot, self-park (unattended). Cash or Credit Card accepted.

Hourly Rates: Every 1 Hour - $2.00 Every 15 Minutes - $0.50

Free street parking on Ocean Blvd.

In-Person Registration - 7:00 AM

Ceremony - 8:30 AM

5K Walk Begins - 9:00 AM

T-Shirt Deadline:

All registrations received by Thursday, September 26th will be guaranteed a t-shirt. Remaining shirts will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Thank you.

Memory Photo Wall:

If you missed the deadline, feel free to bring a 4x6 photo to place on the wall.

We walk to create a future of No More Victims®

The Southern California Walk Like MADD 5K event is scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Granada Beach Launch Ramp in the City of Long Beach. Walk Like MADD is a non-competitive 5K walk that raises funds for programs proven to help stop impaired driving and to help support its victims. This event brings together passionate individuals, families, and community members who are committed to raising awareness about the dangers of impaired driving. Participants walk in memory of loved ones lost and in support of MADD’s critical mission to help create a future of NO MORE VICTIMS®. Register, donate, and sponsor TODAY to help us save more lives!

The following will be available to all registered guests, volunteers, and sponsors with a wristband. Wristbands will be given upon check-in.

All registered guests will receive a sling backpack, sponsored by Johnson Attorneys Group, filled with goodies from local community partners, including Don Francisco's Coffee and Handheld Portable Misting Fans by NDS Printing & Promotions

View a Waymo vehicle up close and learn about its technology from autonomous specialists. Waymo will have coloring books plus additional giveaways.

The Long Beach Firefighters Association, Local 372, will generously host lunch at this year’s walk

This year’s walk will feature K-9 guests from The John Reynolds Youth Support Canine Foundation on behalf of the Garden Grove Police Department.

Mission Moment Dedication: Ruby & Hart

"On June 12, 2019, while driving from Los Angeles to Joshua Tree, our car was hit by a drunk and high driver going ninety miles an hour. The driver hit us at full speed, never touching the brakes. Both our beautiful and brilliant children, seventeen-year-old Ruby, and fourteen-year-old Hart, were killed. Ruby was a budding artist who had just received a merit scholarship to study over the summer at the Art Institute of Chicago, and Hart was a hilarious and inspired performer who could make anyone laugh. They were each other’s biggest fans. We love them and miss them and ache for them."
