Move with MADD: Denver Walk will be located at the SOUTH LAWN of Sloan’s Lake Park. This is the same location as last year and is right next to the playground on 17th.
REGISTRATION:
Online registration will close at 5:00 p.m. THURSDAY July 31st, but walkers can still register at the event on Saturday morning. In-Person Registration will open at 7:00 a.m. at Sloan's Lake Park.
This year, you can register choose to receive a shirt with MADD’s new logo. Simply choose $35 Adult/$30 Youth walker level when you register. You can opt out of the shirt by selecting the $25 Adult/ $30 Youth walker level. MADD will also have some new swag for all participants.
You must be registered for the event before JULY 1 to access the T-shirt option. They can be picked up by checking in at Registration when you arrive. Use the image below to see where Registration and other event areas are located!
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
7:00 a.m. - Registration & Check In Opens
7:00 a.m. - Vendors Open
8:00 a.m. - Opening Ceremony Begins
8:30 a.m. - Walk Steps Off
10:30 a.m. - Event Ends
Please take note - we have moved our opening ceremony and Walk step off up by 30 minutes this year to take advantage of cooler temperatures.
DIRECTIONS:
Follow these easy directions to get to Move with MADD: Denver Walk at Sloan’s Lake Park.
- Take I-25 to Exit 210A / Colfax Ave.
- Follow Colfax Ave. West to Sheridan Blvd.
- Turn right onto Sheridan Blvd.
- Turn right on 17th Ave.
- Our event is near the intersection of 17th Ave. and Utica St. on the SOUTH END OF SLOAN’S LAKE PARK
PARKING:
We have limited parking for attendees requiring handicap spaces in the parking lot located Utica St. near the event site. Attendees with official handicap plates or tags may access the lot via 17th Ave. and Utica St. A MADD volunteer will be posted at the entrance to help guide traffic.
Various small parking lots are located around the perimeter of Sloan’s Lake Park, and street parking is available on the streets surrounding Sloan’s Lake Park.
THERE IS NO STREET PARKING ON 17TH AVE. 17th Ave.
You may park on any of the neighborhood streets south of 17th Ave. but BE SURE TO NOT BLOCK ANY DRIVEWAYS! Participants are encouraged to utilize public transportation, bike, or carpool to Sloan’s Lake Park. Visit www.rtd-denver.com to utilize RTD’s trip planning services.
