Will you take up the fight by joining us at Walk Like MADD?
WALK LIKE MADD is your chance to do something about drunk driving in our community. This year, thousands of people in over 60 cities around the nation will participate in 5k events to eliminate drunk driving from our roadways.
You can help MADD eliminate drunk driving by signing up for a Walk Like MADD event near you as a walker, team captain, or volunteer. You can even be involved without attending the event by signing up as a virtual walker or making a donation to another walker or team.
This year's Walk Like MADD is dedicated to Jason Grandon. Jason was killed by a drunk driver on May 19, 2002, in Miami County, Kansas. He was only 20 years old when his life was tragically cut short by someone's poor decision to drink and drive. Since then Jason’s Dad, Scott, has fought tirelessly for tougher DUI laws in Kansas and volunteers his time sharing his story to high school students and DUI offenders in hopes they will remember Jason's story and never drive impaired. Scott and his family have become steadfast supporters of MADD committed to putting an end to this 100% preventable crime and have participated in every one of our Walk's with their team of supporters growing bigger and bigger every year.
