Frequently Asked Questions 

  • What is DonorDrive?
    • Donor Drive is a system for running events (like Walk Like MADD) and peer-to-peer fundraising (like the Victim/Survivor Tributes on madd.org).
  • Why the change?
    • In testing the system, it has several advantages over Convio/Blackbaud:
    • It creates a better and more streamlined experience for team captains, walkers, and donors.
    • It integrates better with social media, allowing for walk leaders to better engage their social networks in fundraising.
    • It integrates easily with Orange Leap and thus is easier to sync data into and out.
  • Is my Log-In Information from last year valid?
    • Since this is a new system your log-in information is no longer valid. You will create a new username and password during the registration process.
  • Will there be a Walk Like MADD App?
    • No. DonorDrive uses what is called responsive design, so you can do fundraising easily from a computer, tablet, or phone.  It also integrates much more easily with social media and emails, allowing your constituents to build their teams from their devices in the way they choose.
    • During registration, you also have the option to provide your mobile number so that you can receive text messages when someone registers for your team or you receive a donation.
  • How do I register additional team members?
    • After a walker registers, the registration confirmation page they are automatically taken to will provide them with a link to register additional walkers.
  • How do I access my list of past team members and donations?
    • Your Walk Manager can provide you with contact information for past team members and donors. You can find the Walk Manager’s contact information on the right hand side tool bar under Event Details.
  • How do I access my past team and walker page content and images?
    • Since we are using a new fundraising platform there is no way to access your story and images from a previous year.  As of January 1, 2015, we will no longer have access to our previous fundraising platform.  Therefore, participants will not be able to access the stories and images saved to the previous year’s team and participant pages.  We apologize for this inconvenience.  Please contact the Walk Coordinator directly for additional information or instructions.
