Hello fellow Nurses and friends! My name is Emily Stake, and I am the Team Captain of Nurses Gone MADD. We are participating in the New Mexico Walk Like MADD 2021 event to raise community awareness for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). Nurses advocate for victims of drunk/drugged driving and their families- just as we advocate for our patients. Our supporting friends are here to raise awareness and take a stand facing the fight against alcoholism and DWI/DUI here in New Mexico. Did you know that 2 out of 3 people will be impacted by a drunk driving crash in their lifetime? Mothers Against Drunk Driving provides an outlet for those affected by drunk and drugged driving to channel their grief into hope and healing! MADD provides communities the chance to surround and support victims, while we stand-up together and make changes to end drunk driving. What can YOU do?? You can help by...
• Making a donation to help us reach our team fundraising goal of $500
• Join our team, Nurses Gone MADD, and walk alongside us to take steps to stop these violent crimes
• Spreading the word about Walk Like MADD by using the hashtag #WalkLikeMADD
Who is MADD? Founded by a mother whose daughter was killed by a drunk driver, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is the nation’s largest nonprofit working to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking. MADD supports drunk and drugged driving victims and survivors at no charge through local MADD victim advocates and our 24-Hour Victim Helpline 1-877-MADD-HELP. Learn more at madd.org.
