Crash Anniversary: August 13, 2016

Virginia David, a mother, daughter, sister and grandmother, was killed by a DUI driver while transporting a patient for a doctor’s appointment on August 13, 2015; Virginia was a Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver.  Virginia was a very loving mother to her children, grandchildren and a loving and caring wife.  Everything she did was for her family.  In fact, the day she was killed her husband asked her to come home first before her next transport; she didn’t, because she wanted to earn additional hours so she could provide and fulfill her grandchildren’s Christmas wishes.  Virginia was always willing to lend a hand within her community and beyond; that’s how she was known….a very supportive person.  Her sister Priscilla Gibbs started volunteering for MADD shortly thereafter.  Priscilla and family launched this Walk Like MADD in Window Rock, AZ, in Virginia’s memory, and we will work passionately towards ending drunk driving on the Navajo Nation.
