WHY WE WALK

Paul Conaway Jr.

Home City: Philadelphia, PA

Crash Anniversary: September 19, 2021

Our beloved Paul,  age 63, was tragically killed on September 19, 2021, by a drunk driver, who was excessively speeding.  Paul was coming home from a family wedding and had his fiancé  Judi Arena and her daughter, Gabrielle Fanucci in the car, both of whom were seriously injured.

Paul was passionate about his family, and friends and enjoyed spending time and entertaining them at his home.

Paul was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He loved motorcycles, skeet shooting, bowling, golfing and corn hole.  He was known as an animal whisperer, and is deeply missed by his horses, dogs and cats.  He thrived at the racetrack and was a proud owner of Favorite Tale, his homebread thoroughbred that won over a Million dollars.

He enjoyed the beach and traveling to Caribbean islands with Judi and Gabrielle and their family . He never missed an opportunity to see a concert or new show. He served on the board of Father Martin’s Ashley, a drug and alcohol rehab facility in Maryland and was a sponsor to the Shining Star Awards, benefiting the March of Dimes for several years.

Paul’s personality was larger than life. He lived every day to the fullest, and his compassion for people was exuberant.  Paul’s kindness and generosity live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
